Detail Itinerary

Day 1: Colombo Pickup

Upon arrival, you will be met by your driver and tour escort at Bandaranaike International Airport or a central location in Colombo for a transfer to your hotel. After a period of rest and refreshment, your exploration of Sri Lanka’s vibrant capital begins.

The sightseeing tour includes a visit to the historic Clock Tower and the bustling Pettah Bazar, where you can experience the local atmosphere and commerce. You will also visit significant religious sites, including a Hindu Temple and a Buddhist Temple, showcasing the city’s diverse spiritual heritage.

The itinerary continues with a visit to the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH), a landmark gift from the People’s Republic of China. To conclude the day, you will visit the Galle Face Green, a famous seaside promenade perfect for observing local life and enjoying the ocean breeze.

Overnight stay in Colombo.

Following breakfast, depart for Sigiriya. Along the way, you will visit the Dambulla Cave Temple, also known as the Golden Temple of Dambulla. This magnificent UNESCO World Heritage Site, located in the central region of Sri Lanka, is renowned for its well-preserved cave statues and vibrant murals.

After exploring the temple complex, continue your journey to your hotel in Sigiriya for an overnight stay.

Following breakfast, begin your ascent of the magnificent Sigiriya Rock, climbing 1,200 steps to reach the summit. The pathway features several platforms where you can rest and enjoy spectacular panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.

Next, immerse yourself in local culture with a Sigiriya Village Tour. This experience includes a traditional oxen cart ride and a serene catamaran safari. You will also witness a cooking demonstration of authentic Sri Lankan food before enjoying a delicious village lunch.

Later, travel toward the historic city of Kandy. En route, stop at a Spice Garden to learn about the diverse herbs, spices, and traditional medicines native to the island.
